To all my beloved readers, in conjunction with Borneo Harvest Festival 2012 click here for further info of the event, my bff, Veeky-Leonora and I will be selling Borneo crafts lovingly made by us. The Borneo Harvest Festival will officially begins on 6 July 2012 for the final round of the Borneo Beauty Pageant. There will be booths set up around the venue selling handicrafts, exotic borneo accessories and signature Sabah/ Sarawak decorations.

Seonsang Ilchulbong (Sunrise peak)

Seongsang Ilchubong also called ‘Sunrise Peak’, is an archetypal tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow seabed about 5 thousand years ago. Situated on the eastern seaboard of Jeju Island and said to resemble a gigantic ancient castle, this tuff cone is 182 meters high, has a preserved bowl-like crater and also displays diverse inner structures resulting from the sea cliff. These features are considered to be of geologic worth, providing information on eruptive and depositional processes of hydromagmatic volcanoes worldwide as well as past volcanic activity of Seongsan Ilchulbong

itself.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is 180 meters high, and its crater is about 600 meters in diameter.

Me with the Dol Hareubangs

Dol hareubangs, also called tol harubangs, hareubangs, harubangs, are large mushroom-like statues found on Jeju Island off the southern tip of Korea. They are considered to be gods offering both protection and fertility and were placed outside of gates for protection against demons travelling between realities.

The dol hareubangs are carved from porous basalt (volcanic rock) and range in size up to 3 metres high. The statues' faces feature grinning expressions and bulging eyes without pupils, a long, broad nose, and slight smile and their hands rest on their bellies, one slightly above the other. In sets of two, one will have a higher left hand and the other a higher right hand. The hat is commonly referred to as phallic or mushroom-like.

Dolphin cruise - Bali

Bali dolphin cruise is an exciting activity and if you're lucky you will be able to watch the beautiful and sway movement of the dolphins. It is indeed a very impressible to see a pod of dolphins freely swim and jump in the open sea.

Was told by the guide that, only if you're lucky you will be able to see the dolphins, if not...too bad..just not your day to see the dolphins
